Police Report: PC Williams reported that there had been no major issues over the last month. Over his beat area there had been 51 incidents. |

DMcP enquired if there had been any follow up of the car driving around Victoria Park and causing damage to the football pitch. PC Williams said that this had not been reported to the police. |

DA reported that the Ross and Cromarty Area Committee had been given a police presentation. This highlighted their high detection rates and decline in thefts, but stated that the high level of road traffic incidents – including those involving drink - driving remained a concern. |

Youth Issues Friday Club: Teams have been entered for 11 events going in the Highland Youth games. The club has 3 drivers who are to take their minibus test. The boating club has invited the Friday Club to sail with them. D McP noted that some Highland Council youth leaders had expressed concern about Youth Work in Cromarty. DA to follow up. |

14:2 Christmas lighting: Application completed and accepted. It won’t be possible to light the Denny as there is no spare capacity. Eyelight consultations will be giving a free presentation of some of their lighting ideas. |

Local Plan – findings of the public enquiry CC members noted that the proposal for building at the west end of Cromarty was rejected by the by the Reporter. It was also noted that an offer had been made by HSCHT on the Townlands Barn site. |

Total bank interest from 1998 to March 2004 was £345.99. Currently there is £609.52. CC members to consider how to use this for March meeting. One suggestion was as a contribution towards leaflet reprint costs. |

Planning Bamboo Fencing, Bank Street: CC members agreed to comment on their concern about road safety due to a lack of pavement. |

Shed, Well Lane: CC members agreed to inform The Highland Council that they continued to dispute that Well Lane was in individual private ownership, and that sheds along it discouraged access.Cllr Alston did not take part in any of the discussion on planning matters |

Black Isle need to play: has written to ask for funding, but the CC agreed that it didn’t have spare finance from supporting Cromarty and District initiatives. |
