The C&DCC first came into being in 1977 and the energy and commitment of our predecessors in office inspire us to continue the task they outlined in that very first constitution:- 'to promote the well-being of the residents, in Cromarty and District, by ascertaining, coordinating, and expressing to Local Authorities and Public Authorities the views of the community and by taking such action, in the interests of the community, as appears to be expedient and practible'.
