A safer Reeds Path

Work is underway to stabilise the section of the Reeds Path (near the Clunes corner) where the walkway was eroded during the storm of January 2005. Today, a workman was assembling mesh gambion baskets to be filled with large stones to act as a retaining wall against further encroachment by high seas and strong easterly winds.

The Community Council has recently agreed that a full study of Cromarty and its sea defences should be undertaken to determine which areas are most at risk.
