Refurbishments at the Royal Hotel


A fresh, stylish lounge bar re-opened Saturday at the Royal Hotel following major refurbishments by new owner, Jenny Henderson. The kitchen floor and old-fashioned loos have also been upgraded, and further improvements to guest rooms and repair work to the hotel roof are planned.

A new menu features home-cooked food from local sources, including beef from the Henderson family farm at Udale and fish from the Avoch-based fishing boat 'Apollo'. An up-dated drinks list offers wine by the glass and on-tap real ale from the Black Isle Brewery.
