On 5 November the Rev John Tallach retired after 11 years as minister of Cromarty Parish Church of Scotland. Members of the congregation and wider community celebrated his ministry with a ceilidh and presentation at the end of October. John and his wife Isobel have moved to Inverness, and the Cromarty Manse (pictured right) will be sold. Under the arrangements of the new linkage between the Cromarty and Resolis & Urquhart churches, the manse will be in Culbokie.
A Nominating Committee has been formed to search for a new minister. Meantime, the Rev Fraser Stewart of Contin Church has been appointed interim moderator and will conduct meetings of the Kirk Session and Congregational Board. The Rev Willis Jones is locum and will lead Sunday worship and visit on two days a week in the newly-combined parishes.
