Yesterday evening, participants in Rosie Newman's recent four-week 'Introduction to Sculpture' class exhibited their work at the Stables. The display featured mesh-and-clay sculptures of seabirds, mostly puffins.
Cromarty-based artist Rosie teaches at Inverness College and previously has led workshops and courses for local enthusiasts in painting, sculpture and creating mosaics.
This course was organised by Estelle Ellwood of the Black Isle Virtual Learning Centre (BIVLC) with funding from Highland Council. The only complaint from those taking the course? It should have been longer!
