Novice runner Charlotte Grant — whose father Carlton lives in Cromarty — has set herself the the challenge of running in the 2011 London Marathon on 17 April and raising £3000 for the RNLI. Although now based in London, self-employed artist Charlotte grew up in Ross-shire and her grandparents live in Garve. Her father and uncle have both worked at sea all their lives, so choosing the RNLI as 'her' charity was a natural choice. If you would like to support Charlotte, you can make a donation at www.virginmoneygiving.com. (Take care when you input her name, as there is more than one 'Charlotte Grant' listed!)
If you know of any other runners with a Cromarty connection, let us know via the Feedback page.
