Weird Cromarty walkabout

A light drizzle failed to deter Bob Pegg and his followers on a walkabout ghostly tour of Cromarty this afternoon. The Ross-shire based storyteller and musician linked tales from Hugh Miller's Scenes and Legends of the North of Scotland to the landmarks that inspired them: the ghostly hand seen by Hugh Miller at the cottage door on the night his father drowned at sea, Capt. John Reid's encounter with a mermaid along the shore at the Dropping Cave and other unnatural Black Isle encounters.

The group of approximately fifty locals and visitors ended the series of NTS's 'Walking the Stories' with a final tale and refreshments at the Old Brewery.
