The July Cromarty Market counted another successful day with 250 people through the doors, not including stallholders. The market café was booked to capacity and enjoyed an extra boost when customers lingered for tea and homebaking during the deluge of rain just before closing time.
As well as the usual craft and baking stalls, more plants and produce were available this month. A welcome new addition was Jo Hunt with the first soft fruits and salad leaves from Knockfarrel Produce. As future demand for stalls grows, regular stallholders will be allocated space at the monthly Cromarty markets.
Please note that there will be no market in August. An even bigger one is expected on 10 September, a date which coincides with Doors Open Day and the Black Isle Words Festival. Local people interested in booking a stall should contact John Wood on 01381 600491 or email for details.
