Changes to Cromarty Wind Turbine Development application

On 8 November an application was lodged with the Highland Council Planning Department for the erection of "five 800 kw wind turbines on 50m masts" on land 1km to the east of Mains Of Eathie Farm, Cromarty.

This revised application by Bright Sparks Energy increases the original three turbines to five, reduces the full height to 74m and shifts the location to the south of the originally-proposed site.

The status of the application is pending consideration with a determination deadline of 13 December.

The original three-turbine development proposal by MacWind through Bright Sparks Energy can be found here. The response by the neighbouring Davidson community is given here.
