New application submitted for Davidson windfarm

A new planning application has been made to Highland Council for the proposed Bright Sparks Energy windfarm at Davidson. This application calls for the erection of five 800 kw wind turbines on 50m towers with a rotor diameter of 48m. The application reference is 12/01650/FUL and full details with supporting documents and comments can be found on the Highland Council Planning website.

Further information is available on the MacWind website. For an explanation of the 'Community Benefit', see Cromarty_Wind_Turbine in the Document Library. Objections to the wind farm proposal can be found here.

08/06/12: A questionnaire has been sent by Cromarty and District Community Council to everyone in the Council area over the age of 18 who is listed on the electoral roll. The survey asks for views on the proposed wind turbine development in order to make comment to Highland Council. If you have not received a questionnaire and wish a copy, please contact CCC secretary Juile Penwright.
