A colourful, graffiti-inspired bus shelter

More than 20 members of the Cromarty Youth Club, under the guidance of Youth Development Worker Wanda Mackay and free-lance artist Clair Nichols have just completed the painting of the bus shelter next to the Victoria Hall.

Four of the older boys cleaned and whitewashed the shed in preparation for the interior artwork.

According to Wanda, the project gave the young people "confidence in design skills, art appreciation and self-expression" as they talked about the "understanding of vandalism and the negative use of graffiti." They enjoyed the experience of spray-painting in so many colours and "hope that it has a positive impact on the community."
