Cromarty's new tennis court was opened today by Mrs Margaret Bain, the 95-year-old former caretaker of the old court off the Causeway.
The new court is named in honour of Dr Dorothy Forth, former GP in Cromarty. Her generous bequest to the town was combined with further funds raised by the newly-formed Cromarty Tennis and Sports Club and grants from Sport Scotland and the Middleton Trust. The club is grateful for the continued support of the local community and businesses, the Black Isle Ward and Cromarty Community Council.
The photo of Mrs Bain with son Jackie Bain, daughter Caroline Fair and great-granddaughter Heidi was taken by Carsten Flieger.
