Action anticipated on Reeds Path erosion

Following a further site inspection with Scottish Water, Highland Council and the contractors, the work to improve the defences to the stretch of the Reeds Path from the pumping station to the allotments will be, subject to funding being found, extended to make good those areas damaged in December 2012 which were subsequently excavated as part of the archeological project. The archeological project leaders are aware and will be making a record of the stone pavement as some of it will be covered after the works.

14/3/14: Work on the shore defences at the rear of Clunes House and along the badly eroded parts by the first part of the Reeds Park will start on Monday. Rock armour will be taken across the field to access the area and sand put down to protect the stone ‘pavement’ from vehicles driving across it.
