A musical tour around Britain with Fyrish

On Thursday Cromarty folk duo Fyrish (David Cowan and Marjorie Paterson) entertained members of the Fourways Club at their annual May Lunch. The performance included a selection of songs from around Britain and two songs written during the First World War: 'Hanging on the Old Barbed Wire' and 'Take Me Back To Dear Old Blighty'.

The Fourways meets weekly on Thursday afternoons in the Victoria Hall during the autumn-to-spring session and features a varied programme of talks, music, demonstrations, outings and DIY entertainment — followed by refreshments. The club is open to the over 60s, and new members are always welcome.
