Referendum Day - here at last!

After weeks, months … two years of debate and discussion, Scottish Referendum Day is here tomorrow. Be sure to vote! Take your voting card (helpful, but not needed to vote so long as you are registered) along to the Victoria Hall polling station between 7.00am and 10.00pm.

In anticipation of the vote on Thursday, come along this evening to the Old Brewery at 8.00pm. Jon Palmer is directing a community performance of 'The Stag, the Cheviot and the Black Black Oil' adapted from John McGrath's play staged by the 7:84 theatre company in 1973.

"A musical drama Cheviot recounts the history of economic change in the Scottish Highlands, from the Highland Clearances in the early 19th century through to the contemporary oil boom at the time of its first production. Each sketch and reconstruction is supported by a continuous narration of facts and statistics, presenting an account of Scottish history from 1746 to 1974. (extract from Wikipedia)
