Jane Dunn and brother Colin Dunn opened their new giftshop earlier this month. Located mid-Shore Street, next to his wife Bärbel Dister's Pottery Shop, the new business specialises in "unusual and high quality gifts, cards, textiles, ornaments and jewellery". Later this year they plan to open a first floor gallery with a changing display of affordable paintings and prints.
Their stock includes items by local craftspeople (including Jane's own "Cosy Cosies" and wooden hearts carved by Leon Patchett from driftwood found on Cromarty Firth beaches) and other Scottish-based artists. Check out the range of attractive gifts on their Facebook page. Or, better yet, visit the new shop in person.
