Cromarty Youth Opera presents 'The Little Sweep'

The Cromarty Youth Opera presents its third summer production this week. Benjamin Britten's 'The Little Sweep' is a short children's opera in three acts and tells the story of poor, wee Sammy Sparrow. The wretched and pale eight-year lad is sent up the chimney by Black Bob the brutal sweep master until he is rescued by the children of Iken Hall who smuggle him out to safety and freedom in a travelling trunk.

The opera is presented in the Cromarty West Church on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings at 7.00pm. Free tickets are available at The Emporium.
