West Phoenix leaves Cromarty Firth

The 35,500 tonnes West Phoenix rig quietly left the Firth this morning after spending the winter stacked between Cromarty and Invergordon. The rig was the largest ever berthed in the Cromarty Firth and dominated the skyline during its winter visit.

At the time of its arrival on 19 October, it was expected to remain in the Firth before embarking on a new contract in March off the west coast of Shetland.
