Archaeologists Steven Birch and Mary Peteranna look over the site of the final dig season for the Cromarty Medieval Burgh Community Archaeology Project.
From Saturday, 11 June–Sunday, 26 June the core group of volunteers will be finishing up excavation in the Reeds Park Field. After three summers of unearthing layers of Cromarty history going back to the 12th–13th century, funding has come to an end. This summer's team hopes to find more answers within the earliest archaeological layers before the site is backfilled.
Site tours are offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11.00am, but visitors are welcome anytime.
