Nearly 12.000 people have signed a 38 Degrees petition to stop plans to allow ship-to-ship oil transfers in the Cromarty Firth. Those who oppose this proposal are encouraged to meet outside the Cromarty Port Office at 11.45am on Thursday, 30 June to hand in the petition. RSVP and directions can be found on the 38 Degrees website. Phone 600819 if you need information about transportation to Invergordon.
If you can't join the group meeting on the 30th, you can still add your name to the petition before it is handed in to the Port Authority,
