Cromarty was buzzing with visitors attending three special events today: the monthly Cromarty Community Market in the Victoria Hall, the opening day of the Art and Flower Show in the East Church and the Cromarty Open Gardens.
The success of last year's Art and Flower Show has led to a second event featuring artistic work by pupils of botanic watercolourist Julie Price and floral displays by Black Isle flower arrangers led by Evelyn Wilson. The show is open daily from 11.00am–4.00pm throughout the coming week.
The Cromarty Open Gardens was organised by Fran Sadler and Fran Tilbrook, comprising 22 Cromarty gardens open to the public from 11.00am–4.00pm and varying in size from the Cromarty Allotments (on right, with allotment-holder Steve Ellwood and visitors) to small 'over-the-fence' pocket gardens. The event raised £1189.36 for Cromarty Care and Fourways.
