Window depicts many journeys

Throughout the month of December the Church Street window of Hugh Miller's Birthplace Cottage will feature a changing exhibition of 'Windows on the World'. Each day a new display will depict an aspect of the theme 'Journeys. The journey may be a physical, mental or spiritual one, each special to the individual or group that created it.

The exhibition opened on the first of December with a display by the Friends of Hugh Miller with further windows on beachcombing, a walk from Derby to the Battle of Culloden, camels carrying the three wise men, the Siege of Cawnpore in India and a house's journey in Inverewe, the story of an arrowhead found at Kirkmichael and shared journeys with pets. Photos and details of these journeys and more can be found on the Hugh Miller Facebook page.
