'The Tempest' by Michael Wood (right) was awarded first prize in the adult category of the 2017 Creative Cromarty competition at Saturday's one-day exhibition and prize-giving. Other first prizes went to Catherine Fullarton (Primary Aged Category) and Lucy Kerfoot (Photography Category — all ages).
The competition was open to amateur artists from across the Black Isle with special categories for each of the area primary schools (Cromarty, Avoch and Resolis).
The competition was organised primarily by Joe Inman during his internship with Cromarty Arts Trust last summer. As winner of the first Caroline Hewat Prize for Art, he used his time with the Trust to devise and implement the Creative Cromarty Competition — and returned to present the prizes on Saturday.
