Places to visit

There's loads to see in Cromarty. A walk round the town is nice, admiring the architecture.

We have Hugh Miller's Cottage, a lovely thatched building where the great man was born; and next door there's the Miller House exhibition space.

The Cromarty Courthouse Museum is a fun place to go to. I'm sorry, but unless you're a resident, there's a small admission charge. Locals get in for free.

The East Church as seen on TV is lovely and worth spending some time wandering around.

The harbour is attractive, with loads of pleasure craft in the summer, and working fishing boats all year round. The Cromarty Rose, our two car ferry ties up in here too.

Walk on the links, our grassy area below the school, and admire the emigration stone.

The viewpoint at the top of South Sutor is worth a look from, too. The nicest way? Go up the misleadingly titled 100 step walk at the far eastern end of the village. The walk is well signposted.
