After many years, Jon Palmer has stepped down as editor of the Cromarty Live Newsletter. His amazing work and contribution to the Newsletter will be sorely missed.

We can only thank Jon for his inspiring part in keeping Cromarty folk up to date with local news. Thank you Jon.

But ‘Out of the Ashes’ another member of the community steps forward, as Fran Sadler takes the reins!

Fran, as editor, will be working with a revamped independent editorial team and in a new partnership with the Cromarty Courthouse. This fits well for both the newsletter and the Courthouse.

With new beginnings comes a new name. Nothing fancy but a name that says what it is, Cromarty News.

There is a new email domain name, reinforcing the new partnership – editor@cromarty-courthouse.org.uk

These changes also help to remove the Cromarty Live name confusion, that has existed for some while, because Cromarty Live is in fact the name of the Cromarty & District Community Council’s website and their domain name.

As mentioned, the Newsletter is run by an independent editorial team, aiming to spread Community news and is not in any way connected to the Community Council.

Cromarty Live will continue to keep a library of current and past Newsletters on this page, so that will not change (except for perhaps making the list a bit more manageable!).

With the new Courthouse partnership comes a cheaper facility to distribute Cromarty News, so may we take this opportunity to thank all those members of the Community, who have generously made donations towards previous costs, and Plexus Media staff without whom there would have not been a Newsletter.

In addition to the Newsletters, you will also find the old Bulletins produced during the pandemic, by the 'Black Isle Partnership', which is a totally separate private limited company that has no connection to, and does not represent the views of, the C&DCC or its community.
